Sir Cliff has booked shows in top arenas around England and Scotland, including multinight stands in a number of cities. Cardiff, Manchester, Newcastle, Glasgow and London host him for two-night stands each, while Sheffield ups the ante to three nights. Birmingham wins with a five-night run.

Tickets for his European shows are on sale and all U.K. gigs go up for grabs February 24. Richard also has plans for an Australia/New Zealand outing in early 2003, but no dates or venues have been confirmed.

Dubbed as Britain’s answer to Elvis Presley, Richard burst onto the pop scene in the late ‘50s. Along with his backing band, the Shadows, he dominated the U.K. music charts for years.

A national celebrity for decades, Richard continues to captivate audiences around the world – particularly the British. Even now at 40-plus years into his career, Sir Cliff remains one of the country’s most revered entertainers.

Richard’s Wanted album was released late last year in the U.K. and features covers of classic tunes such as “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” and “What A Wonderful Life.”
