Bonnie Raitt Sees The Silver Lining
Noted roots rocker Bonnie Raitt tunes her guitar in anticipation of an upcoming spring/summer tour. The venture is in support of her 16th album, Silver Lining, which will be released April 9. Joined by her touring band – George Marinelli, James “Hutch” Hutchinson, Ricky Fataar and Jon Cleary – Raitt will stop by theatres across the States from March 30 through mid-June.
Although the list of performance dates makes a three-month span, it isn’t nearly as impressive as the press release Raitt’s record company initially sent announcing the tentative list of tour dates. A slew of shows – 20 to be exact – were in addition to these current dates, but have just been retracted.
Raitt last toured in 1999 when she co-headlined a late summer tour with Jackson Browne, Shawn Colvin and Bruce Hornsby. Just before the foursome set off, Raitt was on her own for a series of summer shows around the States.
