Avalon Get Some Fresh Air
Already in progress, the Oxygen tour looks to spread through the beginning of the summer months. Somewhere around the middle, March 26 to be exact, Avalon are releasing a remix album of their 2001 release, Oxygen. O2 Avalon Remixed will include new versions of the group’s No. 1 songs and has the prestige of being the first complete remix album in the Christian music industry.
“We’re really looking forward to getting back on the road with The Oxygen Tour and we’re excited about incorporating a remix from O2 into our spring concerts,” said Michael Passons of Avalon. “We had so much fun on the fall tour as we saw how the people who have followed our music so far have embraced the new music on Oxygen.”
Like their 45-city tour last year, the 2002 Oxygen tour will be highly active, incorporating video and special effects as well as the stage and lighting set from the previous tour leg.
Avalon’s fifth album, Oxygen, was released last May to a No. 1 spot on SoundScan’s Christian Retail and Mainstream charts and held the position for four consecutive weeks.
