Pink Is Clear On Touring Plans
Everything’s coming up roses for Pink as plans for her first headlining North American tour are laid down. The venture starts May 2 in Phoenix and wraps 27 shows later in Los Angeles on June 28. Pink’s outing will take her to major markets all over the States, with two stops north of the border along the way.
Tickets go on sale starting the week of March 10. There’s no word on support acts.
Aside from her participation in the hugely popular “Lady Marmalade” single – for which she won a Grammy for best pop collaboration with vocals – Pink laid low on the performance front for most of last year. A couple of holiday radio shows in December and a good handful of promo stints for her new album, M!ssundaztood, which was released in November, about sum up the performance end of things. But, 2000 was a different story.
With a debut album, Can’t Take Me Home, fresh off the press, Pink started her career off with a healthy bang: She nabbed the support slot on *Nsync’s tour. Along with Sisqo, Pink toured with the boy band from May through August.
