Those in attendance at last year’s Groundworks show in Seattle would have gotten a foretaste of the new band and some of what they’ll be playing on this tour. Heart said last fall they were working on a new album that would see the two sisters tackling the majority of the instrumental tasks. No word on the title of the record or when it’s expected to be released.

Although Heart has been on hiatus since 1993, the Wilson sisters have been anything but lazy during their time off. Together, they released three albums with their side project, Lovemongers, as well as played a smattering of one-off gigs. Nancy, who is married to director Cameron Crowe, kept busy by scoring several of his films, including the recent Vanilla Sky. Ann acted in The Vagina Monologues and toured with Beatles tribute show, “A Walk Down Abbey Road.”
