Trouble In Oz For Britney
Britney Spears‘ promotional stop-over in Sydney, Australia, didn’t exactly go as planned on April 18. Spears, who is in Australia promoting her “Crossroads” film, had scheduled a free mini-concert in the open air Showring part of the Fox Studios. However, she was forced to move the show inside to the much smaller City Live venue on the same site when the outdoor location was deemed too muddy.
Giant video screens were set up outside for fans who weren’t able to get into the 1,700-capacity City Live club.
In between lengthy costume changes, Spears managed to squeeze in three, three-minute-long songs, which brought the total concert time to 40 minutes, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.
Spears was eager to please her Oz audience after being booed at the London premiere of “Crossroads.” British fans were none too pleased with Spears when she showed up one hour late and blew off autograph-signing and picture-taking as a security precaution.
