“It’s our own thing. It’s a unique spin on that combination of music, not a carbon copy.”

And it was their “unique spin” that helped catch the eye of RCA, which signed Trik Turner on the strength of their 2000 indie release, Black Seas And Brown Trees.

Many of the tunes on Black Seas And Brown Trees made it on their self-titled major label debut, which dropped in February.

Since then, Trik Turner have been fairly busy on the stage. They supported the Wu-Tang Clan on a few dates, had a mini-tour of their own, and performed at several radio station festivals. Their current tour began mid-April and is set to continue through the end of July. Several different types of venues are on the books. From radio show festivals, to clubs – Trik Turner will be keeping busy this summer.
