POLLSTAR’s records indicate that the smooth rapper’s last outing was in 1998.

LL Cool J’s forthcoming album features several tracks produced by hip-hop powerhouse The Neptunes – a.k.a. N.E.R.D. – and one featuring guest artist Tweet. The album, fittingly titled Ten, is the rapper’s tenth offering and will, of course, have 10 tracks. No word yet on a release date though.

Since the surprising hit of his first single, “I Need A Beat,” in 1984 as a 16-year-old, LL Cool J has weathered hip-hop trends throughout his career. While his physical appearance and ballads made women the world over swoon, LL’s originality in the hip-hop music scene earned him a steady following that has stayed with him to this day.

Like another rap contemporary of his, Will Smith, LL Cool J also found public favor in the visual arts, starring in several movies, including “Any Given Sunday,” “Deep Blue Sea,” and the recent remake of “Rollerball,” and in his own TV show, “In The House,” during the mid-‘90s.
