According to a news release, Osbourne “is expected to make a full recovery” and has “the loving support of her husband and three children who are by her side at this time.”

Although no details are being offered on what sort of cancer Osbourne is suffering from or where she is being treated, the outcome looks bright. Family spokeswoman Lisa Vega told CNN that the “doctors are very, very positive about the outcome.”

Because of Sharon’s surgery, Ozzy is postponing the first two dates of the Ozzfest 2002 U.S. leg. The tour was due to kick off July 6 in Bristow, Va., but will now start July 10 in Scranton, Pa. There’s no word on a rescheduled date for the two shows, which also includes the July 6 stop in Burgettstown, Pa.
