Dates affected are July 15, 17, and 18. The Strokes expect to return to the tour starting July 29 for the last two shows with Weezer before linking up with the White Stripes for a mini-tour.

While no official word has been released on exactly which band member sustained what injury, the rumor mill reports that lead singer Julian Casablancas hurt his knee while play-wrestling.

Meanwhile, the results of Travis drummer Neil Primrose’s surgery are in. According to information on the band’s official Web site, “the operation has confirmed that Neil sustained multiple fractures to his upper vertebrae which surgery has now stabilized.”

The surgery was “completed successfully and the doctors and staff involved are very happy with Neil’s progress.”

The Scottish band still anticipates making their V2002 Festival shows in the U.K., August 17-18.
