The new, 22-date tour launches September 21 and stops in many markets that didn’t get McCartney the first time around. Dates run through October 29.

“Paul is putting the fun back in life with this show,” said Brad Wavra of Clear Channel Entertainment. “It will make you dance, it will move you and it will make you believe again in the redemptive power of rock ‘n’ roll.

“With some 20 Beatles songs in the set and another dozen of his hits since, seeing this show is like going to the feel-good factory.”

The first half of Sir Paul’s highly anticipated tour – his first since 1993 – ran from the beginning of April to mid-May, taking in a total of $52.8 million for the 27 shows. Tickets sold out within minutes, prompting additional shows to be added to accommodate enthusiastic fans.

McCartney will again be joined onstage by guitarists Rusty Anderson and Brian Ray, drummer Abe Laboriel Jr., and Wix Wickens as keyboardist. “This band is too good to be just put on a shelf,” said Macca. “We’re having too much fun to want to stop playing now.”

The group was also featured on McCartney’s Driving Rain album, which is his first in four years and was released last November.
