Diana Ross Quits Tour
R&B diva Diana Ross has canceled plans for her summer tour. The singer was due to kick off the outing August 9 with a two-night stand at the Cerritos Center in Southern California. The confirmed itinerary only covered the West Coast and included stops in San Diego, Santa Rosa, Livermore, Saratoga, Seattle and three nights at Caesars Tahoe.
Earlier this summer, Ross voluntarily entered a drug and alcohol rehab facility to “clear up some personal issues,” according to her publicist.
Paul Bloch said Ross entered the Malibu, Calif., center Promises before touring because “she want[ed] to be in great shape because she is someone who feels a sense of responsibility to her family and her fans.”
At the time, Ross was expected to continue on with her tour schedule as planned, starting with a June 26 show in Germany. No reason was given for the tour’s cancellation.
