The Phish guitarist has loaded up a set of nine shows for this fall, including first-ever solo appearances in Maine, Kentucky and Florida.

The tour kicks off October 22 with a special home turf concert in Burlington, Vt. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Burlington City Arts, which works to sustain and enhance the cultural life in and around Burlington.

Accompanying Anastasio is the usual cast of characters: Tony Markellis (bass), Russ Lawton (drums), Ray Paczkowsi (keys), Jennifer Hartswick (trumpet), Dave Grippo (also sax), Peter Apfelbaum (flute), Andy Moroz (trombone), Russell Remington (tenor sax), and Cyro Baptista (percussion).

Given the busy schedule of many of the band players, these shows will likely be the last time this particular group of musicians tour together.

A limited number of tickets are available directly through Anastasio’s online ticketing system at treytickets.rlc.net. Those are up for grabs for six days starting August 26.

All other tickets go on sale September 13.

Phish have been on hiatus since 2000, allowing Anastasio time to tour and record with his side project, Oysterhead, as well as focus on his solo work. In addition to his debut album, which was released in April, he’s got a DVD-audio album coming out October 1.

Mix-master Toby Wright, who has created his own surround sound process called Mixlab, applied his wizardry to Anastasio’s album, remixing it track by track.

However, it looks like all the solo endeavors are about to end for Anastasio and his Phish mates. The band has announced their hiatus is coming to a close. Starting at the end of December, the group will hook back up for a series of year-end shows.

There’s also talk of a tour next year and they will likely record an album as well.
