Unwritten Law Guitarist Hurt
SAN DIEGO (AP) – Steve Morris, the guitarist from Unwritten Law, was injured over the weekend when his neighbor attacked his house with two homemade bombs.
Morris had been engaged in an ongoing dispute with his 23-year-old neighbor over noise. The band says in a statement Morris, a police officer and a security guard were injured by a homemade bomb thrown at Morris’ home.
One bomb hit his balcony but failed to detonate. Morris thought it was just ice in a bottle and put it in his refrigerator as evidence to show the landlord.
When a second device exploded outside his front door, Morris called police.
When an officer and a security guard arrived and asked to see the first bottle in the refrigerator, it detonated in the guard’s hand, injuring all three.
Morris was treated for a concussion and fluid in his ear drums. His neighbor has been arrested.
