The tour was tentatively scheduled to begin in October, but has since been moved. Dates now stretch through the end of November.

After a 2001 chock-full of shows, India.Arie took this year off from the road and focused on making an album, pausing only for a few one-off gigs.

The new record, Voyage To India, catapulted to the top of the R&B charts when it was released September 29. The album’s first single, “Little Things,” is available for a listen at India.Arie’s official Web site.

Despite an impressive seven Grammy nominations – including best new artist and album of the year for her debut effort, Acoustic Soul – India.Arie walked away empty handed from the 2002 awards. But she hasn’t let the Grammy disappointment define her career. She continues to receive critical plaudits and recently was asked to sit in the judges’ corner on the new Shortlist Music Project.
