The tumor was discovered after Fredriksson fainted and hit her head against a sink three weeks ago at her Stockholm home.

Fredriksson underwent brain surgery at Karolinska Hospital on September 30, her manager Marie Dimberg said in a press release.

“The surgery took almost four hours and as the medical team was able to remove the entire tumor, the operation was very successful,” Dimberg said. She said Fredriksson was doing very well under the circumstances but will spend the rest of the year at home to recuperate.

The surgery forced Fredriksson and her partner in the group, Per Gessel to cancel Roxette’s spot on the tour.
