“After months of writing and recording our new album, we are very excited to be getting back on the road to see all of our loyal fans again,” lead singer Kris Roe said. “We are especially excited about being able to bring some great bands out with us.”

The tour features a particularly close-knit bill as Sugarcult’s guitarist, Marko 72, was formerly an Atari, and Chris Hughes of Autopilot Off grew up with Ataris guitarist Johnny Collura.

As is the Ataris tradition, the band will invite one fan up from the pit to join them on guitar for the song “San Dimas.” The tune is usually the last one performed for the evening. But, rookies beware: the band is adamant that only those who know how to play the song will get their 15 seconds in the spotlight. So, practice, practice, practice!

Although the band’s new album, So Long, Astoria, isn’t set for release until next March, fans can expect to be treated to some new tunes mixed alongside familiar ones from the catalog.
