Lavigne is currently making the rounds of radio station holiday shows in the States.

For all the hype, Lavigne has been a rare sight on the concert stage. True, she is up for two Billboard Music Awards, recently took home four trophies from the Radio Disney Music Awards, and is all over teen and music magazines, but she has yet to officially tour.

Many of the gigs Lavigne has performed this year have been radio-sponsored festivals. The format has helped the rookie cut her chops in front of thousands of fans.

Her debut album, Let Go, has been certified platinum three times over and she continues to win over a larger audience.

Lavigne started singing back home in Ontario at age two and was often in the local paper. She performed at churches, county fairs, Christmas concerts and talent shows. Three years ago, she won a radio competition to duet with Shania Twain and was soon signed to a major record label.
