Interpol Come Home
Expect to see Interpol out in force around American clubs for the next two months. No, not that Interpol – we’re talking about the hip New York band. They’ve beefed up their tour plans and will now stay Stateside through January 19 before joining the NME Awards Tour in the U.K.
After being a hit in Europe for a couple of years, Interpol are finally beginning to see some recognition back home, across the pond. They had their first U.S. headlining tour in late summer and have been playing East Coast venues since the start of December.
Despite little, if no radio airplay, somehow the word on the mod squad got out and they’ve been packing clubs on their brief North American appearances.
Interpol’s full-length debut, Turn On The Bright Lights, was released last year and follows a handful of acclaimed EPs.
