The post-punk Renaissance man has inked in another round of spoken word performances for North American theatres next year. Two shows in London in April are also on the schedule.

Rollins recently teamed up with his band for a special three-show series in Southern California in December. The Rollins Band played an all Black Flag set with special guests and local openers.

The Rollins Band performances came on the heels of the album Rise Above: 24 Black Flag Songs To Benefit The West Memphis Three. Rollins and other musicians including Eddie Vedder, Tom Waits, the late Joe Strummer and Steve Earle have taken up the cause for the group known as the West Memphis Three. The trio were teens in the early ‘90s when they were convicted of triple homicide – a conviction many feel was based on stereotypes against the type of music the men listened to.

Rollins himself recently released a book titled “Unwelcomed Songs: Collected Lyrics 1980-1992.” There is a 1,000-copy limited edition hardcover version, personally signed by the man himself, available on his Web site, www.21361.com.
