Christmas is more than chopping down a splendid tree in its prime and hauling its dead carcass across a snowy field so that it may temporarily adorn your living room before you toss it into the wood chopper. It’s that special time of year when you reaffirm your faith in your fellow human beings. No matter if you’re a Dead Kennedys, Aimee Mann or Heather Myles fan, we’d like to take the time to send a little holiday cheer your way.

And we’d like to take the time to send our best wishes out to everyone in the concert industry, those hard-working men and women that make it all possible, for they are the ones that bring Popa Chubby and John Doe to your cities, towns and villages. We’d like to take just a moment to lift our glasses of eggnog and salute those incredible, dedicated souls on this day of days.

And we’d like to take a few minutes to honor all of those great artists, such as John Wesley Harding and Bob Dylan, as well as those fantastic bands, like Kittie, R.E.M. and Pearl Jam. For without your incredible talents, there would be no concert industry, thus there would be no Pollstar.com. Yes, we’d like to spend a few moments wishing you all the best on this very special day.

The holidays are a time to forget about the all the unpleasantness in the world and celebrate the natural goodness that personifies mankind. That’s why we’d like to take just a couple of minutes to ring the holiday bell of joy and bestow a little mirth and love upon everyone who visits this site. Yes, we’d like to spend a little time to wish each and every one of you the best Christmas ever!

That is we’d like to spend the time, but we’re too busy opening our presents. Maybe tomorrow. Better yet, check back on Friday.
