Under the title Think UK, the British Council and Government will present a range of events demonstrating those qualities across a number of sectors, including design, the performing arts and music. The events will take place in four major cities throughout the year.

Morcheeba are set for eight concerts in March: two each in Chongqing, Beijing and Shanghai, and one apiece in Gungzhou and Shenzhen.

In Chongqing, a city with a population of approximately 30 million, the band will perform two free shows for around 16,000 university students. Then, they’ve been invited by the Shanghai International Fashion Festival to open the event, celebrating the relationship between music and fashion. Morcheeba will also meet and chat with their fans in a number of informal “meet the band” sessions.

Morcheeba recently wrapped a tour of the States in support of their latest album, Charango.
