Held at The Potter’s House in Dallas, the concert will feature The Gaither Vocal Group, Cissy Houston, Vickie Winans, Dottie Rambo, , Shirley Caesar, El Trio de Hoy, and the Potter’s House Mass Choir.

“I’m elated about the opportunity to commemorate the cultural and ethnic diversity of gospel music with a man (Gaither) who has contributed so much to the gospel community for so many years,” Jakes said. “This event comes at an opportune time displaying unity while there is so much uncertainty and division in the world.”

During his four-decade-long career, Gaither has written more than 500 songs and 40 albums, including the famous tunes “Because He Lives” and “The King Is Coming.” He’s won four Grammys and more than a dozen Dove Awards for his efforts.

“For years it has been a dream of mine to create an experience where musicians from various ethnic backgrounds come together for an event like this,” Gaither said. “Now to see this dream is reality, particularly alongside someone like Bishop Jakes, is quite unbelievable.”

Tickets are $25 and available through Ticketmaster.
