Gimme Some Higher Ground
Looking for some festival fun this summer? Well, there’s a new camping-and-music deal on the scene. Welcome the first-ever Higher Ground Music Festival, slated to take over Sunshine Daydream Music Festival Campground in Terra Alta, W.Va., June 26-28.
The lineup features top names in the jamband genre with a couple of hip-hop and DJ sets thrown in for good measure. Included on the bill are The Big Wu, Galactic, Keller Williams, Dirty Dozen Brass Band, DJ Logic, Robert Walter’s 20th Congress, Jurassic 5, Soulive, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Charlie Hunter, and many others.
Additional artists will be added in the coming weeks.
Tickets are available through Jambase, Music Today and Ticketmaster. Early bird passes are available through April 19 and are $65 a pop for three days of music and camping. After that, they go up to $80.
