According to reports, the full tour is expected to run the length of 18 shows, with the completed itinerary announced within a few days.

Accompanying the maestro on the journey are Dashboard Confessional and the Black Keys – both of whom have new albums to show off. Dashboard has one due out in July – A Mark, A Mission, A Brand, A Scar – and relative newbies the Black Keys just released their thickfreakness, which was rumored to have been recorded over four days for a bargain $20.

In the meantime, both supporting acts have tours of their own to keep them busy until Beck calls them up.

Beck is also out doing his thing overseas. His two-week solo European tour starts April 18 and will find him on stages in Germany, France, the Netherlands, U.K. and Ireland.

Last year, Beck took The Flaming Lips along for a tour that spanned both sides of the Atlantic. The Lips served as both Beck’s backing band and his opening act – and the union proved to be a hit with fans everywhere. The tour sold out nearly every show.
