Others in the brand-spanking new two-day festival include The String Cheese Incident, Ween, Gov’t Mule, Medeski Martin & Wood, moe., Les Claypool’s Frog Brigade, Yo La Tengo, Talib Kweli, Rusted Root, Soulive, The North Mississippi Allstars, Yonder Mountain String Band, Disco Biscuits, Cut Chemist, Grandaddy, X-ecutioners, Kings Of Leon, and Los Amigos Invisibles. And, there are more to come!

“We’re keeping many of the concepts that make the Tennessee festival successful, but we are developing new ideas to give the NE event a separate identity,” said Jonathan Mayers of event promoter Superfly Productions.

“Bonnaroo NE will showcase superior live performers from an ambitious array of genres, including rock, jazz, folk, funk, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and indie rock.”

In addition to the music element, Bonnaroo NE also sports a ton of other non-musical attractions, including a festival village, retro arcade tent, 24-hour cinema tent and a cyber café.

Tickets for the Bonnaroo NE Music Festival – which is being held August 8-10 at Enterprise Park in Riverhead, N.Y. (Long Island) – go on sale May 7 through the festival’s Web site, bonnaroo.com.
