La Ley’s tour launches June 25 in New York City with a two-night stand at the Irving Plaza. The band will wind their way out West to wrap in Los Angeles July 27.

For the non-Spanish-reading fans, Libertad translates to Freedom. The album follows La Ley’s MTV Unplugged set from 2001, which won them a Latin Grammy award.

In addition to providing some backing beef for the tour, Scottish whiskey company Chivas Regal will sponsor prize giveaways at the shows. Concert-goers can register to win merchandise as well as a guitar signed by La Ley members.

“We are very pleased to be presenting this extremely popular group of gifted rock en Español musicians as part of Chivas Regal’s ongoing commitment to showcasing the latest and best talents for U.S. Hispanic consumers,” Saul Sola of Chivas said.

La Ley are regulars on the touring scene, racking up the mileage annually. Their biggest outing to date was 2001’s Watcha tour, which featured the group teamed with other rock en Español bands including Juanes, Molotov, Vallejo, and Enanitos Verdes.
