The itinerary includes a run opening for Pearl Jam, June 21 through July 8, with the exception of June 27.

Those busy Buzzcocks are coming fresh off a European tour, which followed a stint in Australia at the beginning of the year. While in the U.K., they found time to do a session for John Peel’s venerable radio show.

The legendary punk band formed in 1976 in Manchester and soon found themselves joining the Sex Pistols on tour. The band became instant sensations, and though they broke up amid label squabbles in 1981, their high-octane pop-punk remained hugely influential.

The band reformed in 1989 and has been touring and releasing albums ever since. Their latest full-length, simply titled Buzzcocks, was released this spring on Merge Records.

According to the band’s official Web site, Billy Talent will be supporting on all headlining dates, usually with a local band also opening up.
