According to a statement released by the band’s representative, Cold will “take a short break from the road.” Some reports say there has been a death in the family of the band’s temp bassist, Larry Melero.

However, Cold’s agent gives a bit of hope for the band’s future. Daryl Eaton’s office at Creative Artists Agency said the band will be touring with Evanescence sometime this year, although the agency is waiting on Evanescence to confirm the dates.

Evanescence have just pulled out of their plans as well. They had a short European tour all set to go but were forced to postpone when lead guitarist Ben Moody was found to be suffering from a lung illness, according to their European concert promoter, Marek Lieberberg. Dates for that look to be rescheduled in the autumn.
