More dates are expected to be added to the tour, keeping the Peppers and company on stages through November.

Washington, D.C.-based French Toast are slated to open on the latest batch of shows. The duo – Jerry Busher and James Canty – have a six-song debut EP – Bugman – out, which isn’t to say they’re newbies to the music scene in the least. Bushman has done time behind the kit for various bands and recently went from being a roadie for Fugazi to a sort of fifth member for the band.

Like Busher, Canty too has been an active participant in various bands, including Nation Of Ulysses, Slant 6, and Make Up. And, for what it’s worth, his brother is a Fugazi member.

The Peppers have been packing arenas worldwide since hitting the road in support of their latest, By The Way, for more than a year now. Having already played South America, Japan, New Zealand, Australia, Singapore, Thailand and Europe, where they’re currently playing the festival circuit, the Red Hot Chili Peppers will be back on home turf for what looks like the rest of the year.
