Cities Stripped Of Stripes
The White Stripes have postponed their North American tour dates through August 10. Lead singer/guitarist Jack White suffered a compound fracture to a finger in an auto accident in his hometown of Detroit July 9.
Shows affected include those in Providence, Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C; Norfolk, Nashville, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Columbus, Cleveland, Toronto, Montreal, Milwaukee, and Detroit. The White Stripes hope to reschedule the postponed shows as soon as possible, with previously purchased tickets remaining valid for the new shows.
A statement released from the band’s record label, V2 Records, said, “The White Stripes deeply value the relationship they have with their fans and regret any inconvenience caused by these current events and are thankful for their patience and understanding.”
