Recently added shows find the blue-eyed soul band tackling a few concerts in South Africa, Brazil and Mexico; a couple gigs in the States; and a whole ‘nother round of arena shows in the U.K.

It’s been three years between tours, but Simply Red continue to be a popular draw in their homecountry, as well as around the world. A run around U.K. arenas earlier this spring saw the band playing to full houses.

Headed by singer Mick “Red” Hucknall – so nicknamed for his ginger hair – Simply Red have been a fairly major player in the U.K. charts since they formed in the mid-‘80s. Though they’ve had a revolving door of members, which is detailed on their Web site at simplyred.com for those wanting a look, the group has remained true to their blue-eyed soul roots throughout the years.

Simply Red’s latest album, Home, just hit shelves in the States.
