Branch has stamped in a month of shows for October. The itinerary looks to keep her around the Eastern parts of the States and into Canada. Included on the schedule, which finds her playing to universities, clubs and theatres, is a two-night stand in Washington, D.C.

Since heading a quick jaunt at the start of summer, Branch has, as mentioned, been supporting the Dixie Chicks. But it’s not like she needed the high-profile exposure. Branch has been making waves since the 2001 release of her debut, The Spirit Room.

Now, at the ripe old age of 19, she can brag of having a hit single with Santana (“Game Of Love”), a platinum album, touring with both the ‘Chicks and Sheryl Crow, and winning a Grammy Award. Not too shabby.

Branch’s sophomore album, Hotel Paper, was released earlier this spring.
