The Southern California surfers, known for their melodic rock, are heading out starting September 26 in Hollywood. They wind their way around the States to wrap at the end of October in Alabama. One show for the end of December is also on the books. It’s not clear if the band plans to fill in the blanks.

Groms Bleu and Sleeping At Last are slated to support.

Around the time they released their latest and fourth disc, The Beautiful Letdown, earlier this spring Switchfoot spent a few months packing clubs on their first headlining tour.

Even though they’ve been around since the mid-‘90s, Switchfoot are being touted as a breaking artist. Thanks to favorable reviews for their last album and shows, the band – brothers Jon and Tim Foreman, Chad Butler and Jerome Fontamillas – are suddenly the ones to watch for.

As evidence to that, Switchfoot were recently named as Launch’s featured artist of the month. Go to launch.yahoo.com/promos/switchfoot to check out the band’s videos, listen to some interviews and enter to win some goodies.
