The new itinerary is fairly Southern-centric, with Randolph & Family hitting venues all over the South and on into the Midwest. However, he’s not leaving out the major cities on the coast and has scheduled time in New York City and Los Angeles.

Although he’s only 25 years old, Randolph has already made Rolling Stone‘s list of 100 greatest guitarists, weighing in at No. 97, just behind Angus Young of AC/DC. It comes as no surprise, considering the widespread critical plaudits Randolph has been receiving for his pedal steel mastery.

Randolph, a New Jersey native, ventured out of the first Sacred Steel Convention in 2000. Shortly afterward, he began to make waves throughout the New York club scene with his unique sound and soon found himself invited to play with notables such as the Blind Boys of Alabama, the North Mississippi Allstars, John Mayer, and the Dave Matthews Band.

After 2001’s Live At The Wetlands, Randolph and his Family Band – which includes cousins Marcus and Danyel – released Unclassified this August.
