Save for a smattering of gigs this year, Adams really hasn’t toured since 2002. Granted, it’s not been that long, but even then, he concentrated on Europe and the U.S. This new tour looks like his first chunk of homecountry dates in a few years – perhaps since 2000.

Earlier this summer, Adams released a double-disc, CD/DVD taped from a couple concerts he did at Budokan in Tokyo in 2000. According to his Web site, he also plans to return to the studio to work on a couple more songs for his next album of new material, expected to be released sometime next spring.

And if all that weren’t enough to keep Adams busy, he’s started work on his third photo book – this time focusing on American women. The book is in conjunction with Calvin Klein in New York, and follows Adams’ previous volumes, “Made In Canada” and “Haven.” Sales from the books benefit breast cancer support organizations.
