Michelle Branch Cancels Shows

Michelle Branch has been forced to cut out 10 major shows through the year-end because of a “throat condition,” according to her Web site. She is “under doctor’s orders to reduce the number of shows she is playing in order to rest her voice.”

So, this means a good chunk of the remaining dates on her tour have been nixed. The gigs affected are Vancouver, Portland, Fresno, Anaheim, Los Angeles, Salt Lake City, Denver, St. Louis, Phoenix and New Orleans.

However, Branch is keeping with schedule for a whole bunch of radio show concerts and TV appearances. Radio show events are usually short spots and therefore less taxing on singers’ voices.

Branch has been touring behind her sophomore album, Hotel Paper.
