Shows affected include a string of gigs on the West Coast and into the Midwestern states. They were to feature Finger Eleven, Seether, and Godhead as support. However, Evanescence is keeping their three Canadian commitments, which are December 12-14.

No reason has been given for the postponement. Just a few weeks ago, founding member and lead guitarist Ben Moody split with the band abruptly as they were in the midst of a European tour.

Since then, Cold guitarist Terry Balsamo has been filling in for Moody’s duties, but it’s uncertain if the move is permanent.

Starting the second week of January, Evanescence will head Downunder for some sun in New Zealand and Australia, then hit up Japan for a multi-night-filled tour.

Evanescence have been packing them in since the start of the year. A good chunk of the schedule has been spent in the States, but they’ve been quick to stop by Europe for a small spate of shows.

They initially had a short tour scheduled for Europe at the beginning of summer but were forced to pull out when Moody fell ill.
