Well, kinda. Rock has taken most of this year off to work on his new album, cryptically titled Kid Rock, but let’s face it – he deserved a break. Since 1998, the rapper/rocker/country singer has been on the road non-stop.

Next year, however, is shaping up to be one like most others. Rock is whittling out an arena tour, which launches with a two-night stand in Saginaw, Mich., January 22.

Only a few weeks’ worth of shows are booked for now, but it’s highly likely that’ll be changing.

Rock will be backed by his trusty band, Twisted Brown Trucker, which includes guitarists Kenny Olson and Jason Krause, keyboardist Jimmie Bones, and drummer Stefanie Eulinberg.

Now, about that album – some are calling it his best yet. It features a slew of guest performers – Kenny Wayne Shepherd, David McMurray, Billy Gibbons, Hank Williams Jr. and Sheryl Crow – and finds Rock, well, rockin’ like never before.
