Everything to Everyone
Looks like the road has been treating irreverent popsters Barenaked Ladies just fine. After a two-year break from touring, the Ladies went out last fall for a couple months of shows, most of which sold out. Now they’ve announced a whole slew of dates for the new year.
Last fall’s tour saw the band playing mostly smaller venues, but this time they’re returning to the arena circuit. First stop is the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Mich., February 11. From there they’ll hit major markets all over the continent before finishing up April 1 in Calgary.
Although their recent work, particularly 2003’s Everything to Everyone, has revealed a more “mature” side of the band, the Ladies’ characteristic quirkiness still shines through, particularly in the wacky stage antics of their live performances.
Tickets for most shows fall in the frankly unbelievable range of $35 to $50.
