Aerosmith Announces North American Tour
Aerosmith has announced a 40-city North American tour in support of their 14th studio album, Honkin’ On Bobo. Scheduled to kick off in the U.S. in March, the tour will hit cities in both the U.S. and Canada through June. Cheap Trick has been announced as the tour’s special guest.
Media giant Clear Channel Entertainment will promote and produce the tour, which promises to include plenty of hits from the band’s three-decade-plus career, as well as material from the new album.
In addition to the standard major cities, this year’s outing will make stops in several secondary markets. A two-week Japan tour will reportedly follow the North American outing in July, although dates are still strictly TBA.
The band’s new tour comes on the heels of their co-headlining bill with KISS, which landed in Pollstar‘s top ten highest-grossing tours for 2003. In true road warrior style, Aerosmith has been touring steadily since 2001.
