The Girls’ tour last fall was soured a bit by the theft of a healthy chunk of vintage equipment in November. Burglars made off with their van and the gear, but PGMG soldiered on, touring North America as well as Europe through December.

Prior to the theft, the band did tours last year with Alkaline Trio and The Blood Brothers.

Pretty Girls Make Graves was one of several bands to emerge from the ashes of the Murder City Devils. After that band’s 2001 demise, bassist Derek Fudesco united with some fellow Northwestern indie vets and began touring almost immediately.

Their latest album, The New Romance, was released last fall on Matador Records.
