New York Fever
After headlining shows across the U.S., Japan and Australia last year, as well as opening for Bjork and The White Stripes, New York’s Yeah Yeah Yeahs are embarking on another North American jaunt this February.
The tour includes stops in Canada and will run through March, after which they head to the U.K. for four April shows. The band last hit British shores in August, when they played the Carling Reading and Leeds festivals.
The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are no strangers to the hazards of the road. Last fall, lead singer Karen O suffered a serious concussion after jumping off an Australian stage last fall. However, she and the band soldiered on, canceling only one show.
Their perseverance seems to be paying off: The band’s full-length debut, Fever To Tell, has been nominated for a Grammy as best alternative album.
