Motörhead Forever
The band plans to make a grand finish November 27 at London’s Apollo Hammersmith, site of their popular 1981 No Sleep ‘Til Hammersmith recording.
Motörhead began way back in 1975, when bassist/vocalist Lemmy was kicked out of the space rock band Hawkwind. He pulled some friends together and, within a couple years, the band became a U.K. sensation, known for an aggressively loud and fast style of metal.
Countless albums and lineup changes later, the band is still going strong, always with Lemmy at the helm. Last year saw the release of a 5-disc box set, entitled Stone Deaf Forever, as well as the double-disc Live At Brixton Academy – The Complete Concert.
Lemmy also recently participated in Dave Grohl’s Probot project, which will see the release of its self-titled album February 10.
