Starlight Shines Bright
Oklahoma dream-pop heirs the Starlight Mints are lining up a spring headlining tour. The quirky indie rockers are planning to kick things off March 10 in Austin, Texas, at the Parish. They’ll cover the Midwest and surrounding states over the next couple weeks, then branch out to other areas of the continent.
Several dates are still TBA, but the band’s Web site promises a wealth of western U.S. shows stretching into mid-April.
Last year saw the release of the Mints’ second album, Built On Squares, which they supported by touring with the likes of Grandaddy, the Polyphonic Spree, Liz Phair and fellow Oklahomans the Flaming Lips.
