In Theory
The Juliana Theory is taking a break from writing the follow-up to its 2003 major-label debut, Love, to embark on a five-week tour covering parts of the U.S. and Canada. The tour launches March 27 in Detroit and will focus on intimate, mid-size rock clubs, the smallest the band has played in three years.
“We played a special show at CBGB in New York a couple of months ago and realized how much we missed playing those types of rooms,” vocalist/guitarist Brett Detar explained. “There’s just an energy there when there’s no barricade and you’re two inches away from the audience. It made us feel like we were in a rock band again.”
The Epic Records artists will be road-testing some new tunes on the outing. They’ve written 20-25 songs toward their next album, which they plan to record after the tour for a fall release.
Anberlin, Bayside and Number One Fan will support on all dates.
