First Final Farewell
The dates are rolling in at full speed for Phil Collins‘ summer tour, supposedly his last. He’ll bid adieu to Europe beginning June 1 in Milan, Italy, with shows stretching through early July. The North American leg kicks off August 26 in Anaheim, Calif., and will run at least until September 26.
The legendary artist, who recently admitted to suffering from considerable hearing loss, has dubbed this outing the First Final Farewell Tour. It’s his first tour since 1998, and first in Europe for seven years.
Despite having to rely more than ever on his producers, Collins is still active in the studio. He’s just done the music for new Disney film “Brother Bear” and is currently working on a musical version of “Tarzan” for Broadway.
Collins also did the music for the “Tarzan” film soundtrack, which won him an Oscar, Golden Globe and Grammy.
Other than movie stuff, his latest album of all-new solo material was 2002’s Testify.
