In A Blue Mood
British rock veterans The Moody Blues are mounting a sizable new North American tour for May and June. They land May 19 in Louisville, Ky., with the current itinerary keeping them mostly east of the Mississippi. The symphonic classic rockers are booked through June 27, when they play Wantagh, N.Y.
As previously announced, they’ll do several weeks of U.K. dates in the fall, beginning September 30 in Glasgow.
The Moody Blues are celebrating their 40th anniversary together this year. The band has sold more than 55 million albums, including 18 platinum records, since its inception in 1964. The current lineup comprises singer/bassist John Lodge, drummer Graeme Edge and guitarist Justin Hayward.
Last October, they released their first studio recording in five years, the holiday album December.
