He hooked up with hot producer/rapper Kanye West for several tracks on the disc, including the single “Slow Jamz.” The album also features contributions from R. Kelly, Too Short and Cee-Lo.

In support of the album, Twista is tearing across the countryside this spring with dates in the East Coast, Midwest and South.

The rapper was recently dropped from Birmingham, Ala.’s City Stages Festival when the Jefferson County Commission threatened to withhold funding, citing objections to his lyrics.

However, he’s still appearing at the 3 Rivers Music Festival in Columbia, S.C., as well as the Music Midtown Festival in Atlanta. The tour runs through June 12, when he hits the Meadowbrook Farm Musical Arts Center in Gilford, N.H., with Youngbloodz.
