What’s The Big Idea?
For more than 40 years, Clifford the Big Red Dog has charmed kids and parents alike with his engaging adventures and “Big Ideas.” First published by Norman Bridwell in 1963, the Clifford book series has sold more than 110 million copies, while episodes of the top-rated TV series air on PBS stations more than 3,500 times a week.
Now Clifford is coming to life on stage, in a Broadway-style musical production with multi-night runs in a number of major U.S. cities. The official world premiere takes place April 21-25 in Atlanta at the Fox Theatre.
“We are thrilled to bring Clifford to life. Families will experience the wonders of theatre through this unique production, where perspective and reality change before their eyes,” said Scott Sanders of production team Creative Battery, which is producing the show along with Turnstile Entertainment.
“This show invites kids and their parents to think, imagine and participate as they learn valuable lessons of friendship and teamwork.”
Tickets begin at $12.50 with a limited number of VIP “Big Dog Seats.” Producers promise an entertaining show for all three generations of fans who have come to love Clifford through books, television, video and merchandise.
